Welcome to our quilting website. We are Professional Longarm Machine Quilters and we enjoy the challenge of turning your quilt top into a finished quilt.
Are there enough hours, months, or years to finish all the quilts you would like to complete? Do you have quilt tops that you are afraid to quilt or can’t find time to quilt yourself? How about quilt tops pieced by someone else but never quilted? Do you do your own hand quilting but need your quilt basted? What about quilts that have the quilting done but need binding and you can never find time to get the binding done?
Quilting Iowa specializes in hand-guided Longarm machine quilting and quilt binding. We will treat your quilt as if it were our own and turn it into a keepsake you will love. Look at the photo gallery to see some examples of our work.
SueAnn has sewn all of her life and has been quilting since 1987 when she began working at Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest, a quilt shop in a 110 year old downtown Salem building. In November 2000, we purchased a Gammill Longarm Quilting Machine. We have received training through Longarm University and regularly upgrade our skills through training with internationally known Longarm quilting artists.
We live in Salem, Oregon. Our studio is in the basement of our 1920 Craftsman style home. If you live nearby, you are welcome to stop by and visit our studio. Call first to make an appointment and directions will be provided.

If you are just starting out with quilting we also run quilting classes throughout the year. We bring in experts from around Iowa for workshops and weekly quilting classes that you can sign up for. Keep an eye on our blog to see when our new classes will be starting up. We normally run a handful of workshops every year too. These weekend workshops are fun and you get to meet a lot of really great people. We hope to see you there!
We also offer beginner sewing classes that will help you to learn basic sewing techniques. You will learn how to do some basic mending of garments and move on to more complex tasks as your classes progress. These classes have been a hit and fill up fast so please sign up quickly if you wish to attend one of these great classes.
